OBITUARY
Stephen A. Lamb
2/22/1940 – 11/8/2022
Stephen A. Lamb, 82, a 44-year resident of Wantagh, NY, died on November 8, 2022, surrounded by his devoted wife, Joanne, and loving family. Mr. Lamb was an accomplished architect, painter, and genealogist. He collected 19th century daguerreotypes and enjoyed working with stained glass. His professional career included architectural management positions with JCPenney and Melville Corporation, as well as owning his own companies. For several years, he held a professorship at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, of which he was also an alumnus, and spent decades volunteering with Hartley House, Habitat for Humanity, and South Nassau Hospital. From his original home in Corona, NY, he commuted to Brooklyn Technical High School. Stephen was the son of the late Loretta Haefner Lamb.
He was predeceased by grandson Winston and is survived by wife Joanne (Calarco), brothers Walter and John, children James, Stephanie, Joanna, Michael (Andrea), and John, and five wonderful grandchildren: Robert, Ryan, Katherine, Nathaniel, and Hudson.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
