Joan Rosanio died peacefully at home on April 6, 2025 in Ozone Park, New York surrounded by her loved ones. She was 81.
Joan was born in Brooklyn, New York on May 8, 1943 to Anna and Joseph Pirrera. She is predeceased by her two brothers, Robert “Bobby” Pirrera and Richard “Richie” Pirrera.
Joan was a spunky, fun-loving woman with a great sense of humor. She enjoyed music, friends and loved to cook. As a single mom of two children, she always provided for her children and opened her house to neighbors.She worked in the banking industry and then the School of Optometry in New York City.
Joan is survived by her two loving children, Joseph Rosanio (and his wife, Jacqueline) and Susan Fiorillo (and her husband, Carlo), and her three beautiful granddaughters, Nicole Fiorillo, Alexa Fiorillo and Jessica Rosanio.
