It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that the family
announce the passing of Elaine Hindy-Bretey of Levittown, NY,
who left us on April 13, 2026. A beloved wife of Philip, Devoted
mother to her children Danielle and her husband Max Hinden,
Eddie and his wife Danielle. Elaine’s joy multiplied with her
beautiful grandchildren Gianna, Emerson and Alessi. Elaine
will be greatly missed by her sisters Linda Telford and Janet
Weinmann, her nieces and nephews. She was a great friend to
all the lives she touched.

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Debra Ann
Smith of Wantagh, NY, at the age of 72. Debra was born on June 13, 1953 to her
parents Edward and Gina Frolich, in the Bronx, NY. She graduated from Manhattan
College with a master’s degree in Reading Specialization and worked as a reading
teacher in the Deer Park Public School System until her retirement. She loved sports,
especially the Yankees, children and gardening and will be remembered for her
perseverance, sense of humor and her kindness towards others.
Debra is survived by her son, Matthew (Callie), her brother Edward Frolich
(Marilyn); sisters Linda LaSusa and Jeanne Reeve (Thomas), her adoring nephews,
Karl, Danny, Christopher (Heather), William (Deana) and her adoring nieces, Kimberly
(Jeff), Jennifer O’Loughlin, Danielle (Leon) and Jennifer (Michael).
A celebration of life will be held at St. Frances de Chantal, in Wantagh, on
Thursday, April 9 th at 10 AM. Debra will be waked at Wantagh Abbey in Wantagh on
Wednesday, April 8th, from 4-8 PM.
