Eunice Ellen (Krause) Rischan was a lifelong resident of Wantagh, N.Y., born May 1, 1921.
Eunice passed away as gracefully as she lived her life, at Besser Senior Living Community on Thursday, March 28 with her family and the wonderful Besser and Hospice staff. There are no words that could do justice to the amazing life she lived.
She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Rischan, her two sisters Mildred (Donald) Snow, Audrey (H.G.) Maron, her beloved grandson Ty Spicer, and her Daughter-in-law, Ginny Rischan.
Don and Eunice had four children; Donice ZiBerna, William (JoAnn) Rischan, Jeannette (Jeff) Spicer, and Nancy Deyette (John Santos). She had seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Eunice graduated from Packer Institute in Brooklyn where she studied business and secretarial.
She loved to be physically active. She was an avid golfer, bridge player, bowler, lawn bowler and loved her exercise classes. Eunice was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Wantagh New York.
One of her greatest joys was to spend time reuniting and catching up with the family every year in upstate New York at Scott’s Oquaga Lake Resort, where she last water skied at 80 years old.
In lieu of flowers please donate to your favorite charity, Hospice or Christ Lutheran Church, Wantagh, NY.
